This Privacy Policy explains how Vybin Labs LLC ("Vybin," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website at vybin.ai (the "Site") or use any of our mobile or desktop applications, including FlipPix (each, an "App," and together with the Site, the "Services").
We designed Vybin around a simple idea: software should respect your time and attention. That belief shapes how we handle your information. We collect as little as we need to make the Services work, we don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your content to train AI models unless we tell you so in plain language and you opt in.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form submissions. If you write to us through the form on our Site, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide.
- Account information (Apps). If an App offers accounts, we collect what you provide to create one — typically an email address, a display name, and authentication credentials (or a token from an identity provider such as Sign in with Apple).
- Content you create. Photos, captions, settings, and other content you create, upload, or save inside an App.
- Purchase information. If you make a purchase, the App Store or Google Play processes payment; we receive a confirmation of the purchase (not your card details).
- Support correspondence. Messages and attachments you send when contacting support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Pages or screens viewed, features used, referring URL, approximate location (country / region, derived from IP), device type, operating system, and language. On the Site, this data is collected by our privacy-first analytics provider in aggregated, anonymized form (see Section 4).
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and performance data from the Apps, used to find and fix bugs. Where supported, you can opt out via your device's settings (iOS: Analytics & Improvements; Android: Usage & Diagnostics).
- Device identifiers. A randomly-generated, app-scoped identifier may be used to recognize a returning installation. We do not use cross-app advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID) for tracking.
Information from third parties
- If you sign in using a third-party identity provider (e.g., Apple, Google), we receive the limited profile information that service shares with us, subject to your permissions in that service.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Respond to your messages, support requests, and feedback;
- Process purchases and deliver paid features;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Understand, in aggregate, how people use the Services so we can make them better.
Our lawful bases for processing (for users in the EEA/UK) are: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services in ways consistent with your reasonable expectations; (c) your consent, where required; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the Services under contracts requiring them to protect your information and use it only for our purposes. Current providers include:
- Formspree (Site contact form delivery)
- Plausible Analytics (Site usage analytics)
- Apple and Google (App distribution, in-app purchases, push notifications, crash reporting)
- Legal and safety recipients when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vybin, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy or notify you of any material change.
- With your consent, for any purpose disclosed at the time you give it.
4. Analytics & cookies
The Site does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that does not set cookies, does not collect personal data, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across sites or over time. The data we see is aggregated counts of page views, referring sites, country-level location, browser type, and operating system.
Because no personal data or non-essential cookies are involved on the Site, no consent banner is legally required under the GDPR or ePrivacy Directive for this analytics. We display a small notice the first time you visit so you know.
The Apps may use device-level analytics and crash reporting provided by Apple and Google. You can control these in your device settings.
5. Data retention
- Contact form messages: retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Account data: retained for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.
- Content you create in an App: retained until you delete it or close your account.
- Backups: may persist for up to 90 days after deletion before being overwritten in the ordinary course of backup rotation.
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics: may be kept indefinitely.
6. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and access controls limiting who can reach production systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
7. Your rights
Everyone
You can email privacy@vybin.ai to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Account holders can also delete their account at any time.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland
You have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data; object to processing based on our legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
California
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA, California residents have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use it; access, correct, and delete that information; opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise your rights, email privacy@vybin.ai. We will verify your request using the email address associated with the information we hold.
Other US states
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. Use the same email above.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction — for example, 16 in some EU member states). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact privacy@vybin.ai and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and the service providers we rely on may process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
10. App-specific notices
FlipPix
FlipPix is a mobile memory card game in which you can use your own photos as the matching pairs: pick 12 photos, FlipPix deals them as a 24-card board, and you match the pairs in as few turns as possible. You can also play with the built-in decks instead.
- Photo library access. FlipPix asks for permission to access your photo library only when you choose to import a photo into a deck. You can change this in your device settings at any time; without it, you can still play with the built-in decks.
- Where your photos go. Photos you import stay on your device. FlipPix does not upload them to our servers, does not back them up to our cloud, and does not transmit them across devices unless you use a device-level mechanism such as iCloud Photos, which is outside our control.
- No model training. We do not use your photos to train any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model.
- No selling, no advertising use. We do not sell your photos, share them for advertising, or use them for any purpose other than letting you play FlipPix.
- Sharing. Photos appear in FlipPix only on your device. If FlipPix offers a feature to share a deck or photo with someone else, sharing happens only when you explicitly initiate it.
- No accounts, no sign-in. FlipPix does not ask for your name, email, or any other identifying information.
- Other permissions. FlipPix does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, or network beyond what is needed to deliver in-app purchases.
- Anonymous usage analytics. FlipPix may send anonymous, aggregated information about how the game is used (for example, decks created, levels completed, average turns per board) to help us improve it. This data is not tied to you and cannot be used to identify the contents of your photos.
- Crash diagnostics. Apple and Google may share anonymous crash reports with us through their developer platforms. You can opt out in your device settings (iOS: Analytics & Improvements; Android: Usage & Diagnostics).
- No advertising trackers. FlipPix does not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking identifiers (IDFA / AAID).
- In-app purchases. FlipPix is free to download and play. It offers optional in-app purchases for additional content (such as card themes, additional built-in decks, and board variants) and convenience features. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed in your device's store-account settings — we never see your payment-card details.
The App Store and Google Play store listings also include data-handling summaries; this Policy is the authoritative source where there is any conflict.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (for example, by email or an in-App notice). Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
